Workshop-‘Story and its elements’ by Ms Anahita Lee
Renowned author, Ms Anahita Lee, famous for her Oxford Mulberry Series, conducted a workshop on ‘Story and its elements’ for the English teachers of Presidency Group of Schools.
A celebrated author who was awarded the enviable ‘Reverend Douglas J.Dias Prize’ conducts several workshops on creative teaching practices, learner centric classrooms, Multiple Intelligences and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
She took our teachers through a very engaging workshop on aspects such as area of storytelling that include introduction, rising action, conflict, climax and ending. She also highlighted the importance of characterization including qualities and the physical appearance of the character. She also spoke about writing hooks that can help the students begin their story.
This workshop on storytelling and its techniques had several tips that can be implemented in the classroom. Teachers at Presidency sure had a lot to take back home and cannot wait to implement these new learning in their daily classroom experiences.
